On Sunday mornings our junior church (Sunday School) has four separate classes catering for the threes to 14+ - and there's always a crèche for the tiny tots. Once every few weeks we all join together for worship and activities in the main service and - just so the minister doesn't have it easy all the time - most months Andrew comes into the junior church to lead a session. On Sunday evenings, the older ones (11+) have a chance to chill out and think about what they learned in the morning. There's some food and fun activities - and also the chance to ask awkward questions about life, the universe and everything. Thursday evening (term time only) is clubs night. 7-UP! is run for the 7-11 year olds from 7-8:30pm. The evening starts with some energetic games and then a chance to get creative with craft activities. Watch this space... - - 11+ dates this term:
11+ runs from 7-8:30pm on alternate weeks to 7-UP!. There's usually a chance to chill out to a CD, shoot some pool or play table tennis. There's always food of some sort and occasionally the chance to watch England on the church's big screen. Back in December both clubs enjoyed an outing to the pantomime. Friday evening is Girls' Brigade. Our growing company recently enjoyed success in a national competition. Structured personal development with an emphasis on fun and service; somehow this involves barbeques and sleepovers - but don't ask me to explain! |
